What will you discover during North Tour?

Port Louis – Citadel also known as the Fort Adelaïde built between 1834 to 1840 on a small hill in the capital. For there, you have a panoramic view on the whole capital (residential area ,administrative part, Moka range, Port Louis harbour and on the horse racing track)

• Drive around the city centre to visit:
  The Parliament, Prime Minister’s office, theatre of Port Louis
  The central market of Port Louis – fruits & vegetables, fresh meat, clothing artisanal souvenirs and many others.
• Caudan Waterfront – it is the biggest shopping mall of Mauritius with more than 170 duty free shops, with food courts and restaurants.
• Discover also Blue Penny stamps museum and the craft market.

Pamplemousses garden – also known as SSR Botanical Garden. It is one of the oldest botanical garden in the southern hemisphere. It makes 37 hectares which includes the giant water lilies, lotus flowers, ebony trees, more than 80 variety of palm trees and many more trees and flowers. There are also giant turtles which come from Aldabra Island.

Sugar World – it is an old sugar factory which was closed down in the 90’s and was re-opened in the 2000’s as a sugar museum. This museum makes 6000 meter square and you will discover the whole history of sugar cane in Mauritius. You will also discover all the machines they were using in the past. Finally, at the village boutique, you will have a rhum and sugar tasting. Inside the garden, there is also Restaurant Le Fangourin which is used for wedding celebration and other events.
